Bar Rapaport graduated with her B.Sc in Environmental Science and Religious Studies and earned her MA in Policy and Environmental and Natural Resources Management from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Her thesis dealt with the connection between energy and politics in East Jerusalem, and she has recently worked to promote sustainable development in urban planning and policy to mitigate climate change. Bar has worked for several Israeli-Palestinian organizations, promoting peace building processes, dialogue, advocacy and coexistence. Her areas of expertise include energy, climate action, urban planning and the circular economy. Bar is a scholar in Truman institute and her PhD will deal with regional cooperation around energy and natural resources in the midst of the climate crisis, with an emphasis on conflict and the Middle East.
