The Department of Geography at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will host the annual conference of the Israeli Geographical Society which will be held during the Hanukkah holiday.

The conference will include plenary sessions, parallel sessions with guest lectures from abroad, professional sessions representing the various geographic research fields, workshops in the field of geoinformatics, a sports navigation competition and a map competition.

We invite our fellow geographers and those involved in related fields to take an active part in the conference. The lecture sessions will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Tours will take place in Jerusalem and its surroundings on Friday, December 23, and will deal with the issues of urban renewal, the mountains of Jerusalem following the recent fires, urban nature in Jerusalem, smart transportation in Jerusalem and Placemaking in the Old City.
